Dr. McGinnis is a Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology Graduate through The Spine Research Institute of San Diego is committed to providing research and education in the area of spinal health and injury prevention. We are especially concerned about cervical spine injuries that result from whiplash trauma.

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE), including the International Board of Chiropractic Examiners (IBCE), is the international testing agency for the chiropractic profession. The NBCE develops, administers and scores standardized exams that assess knowledge, higher-level cognitive abilities and problem-solving in various basic science and clinical science subjects. Dr. McGinnis proudly serves as a Board Member for the NBCE.
The SC Board of Chiropractic Examiners licenses and regulates Chiropractors and the practice of chiropractic in the state of South Carolina. Dr. McGinnis is proud to serve the State in this way.
The SCCA Hall of Fame recognizes those doctors who have lifetime achievements in Chiropractic and those who have helped to make everyone’s practice in South Carolina possible. This award is the highest honor bestowed by the SCCA. Dr. EJ McGinnis, Dr. John McGinnis' father was inducted into the SCCA Hall of Fame in 2005. Dr. John McGinnis is proud to be a second genernation Chiropractor.
The International College of Chiropractic, Inc., which was formed in 1938 to promote the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic and to promote the teaching and the study of chiropractic. The ICCI is a non profit organization that encourages a high code of ethics among practitioners, researchers, educators and others in the chiropractic profession. Dr. McGinnis is a proud member of the ICC.
